Mission Statement (UK)
Our UK operation’s mission is:
- to advance the Christian faith primarily but not exclusively by providing financial and other such support as may be deemed necessary for proclaiming the Christian gospel in Malawi and such other countries as the directors may from time to time determine, and by the enabling and training of disciples of Jesus Christ in such countries; and
- to alleviate poverty and suffering wherever possible and in whatever form it is found in such countries, and in particular to offer assistance to vulnerable people (as defined by the constitutions of such countries) as an expression of such Christian gospel.
Operating Structure (UK)
SaltMalawi is a Registered Trust (Charities Commission Number 1139160) operating in the UK via a company limited by guarantee (Companies House number 06972024). From this base they carry out the various functions to support the work of Julian and Caroline Lott in Malawi. In addition, others work with them either as Ambassadors or as Associate Consultants.
- Ambassadors help raise the profile of the work and gather support in all forms depending upon their particular interest.
- Associate Consultants bring their special skills into the operation to help in areas where we would otherwise be deficient.
If you think that either of the above roles might appeal to you then please contact us for a chat.
SaltMalawi is a UK operation which supports the work in many ways, of which financial support is just one. We conduct fundraising in many forms and provide the UK administration and accounting functions. Any donation, other than general, will be accounted for to ensure that it can only be used for that requested outcome.
Annual Returns will be filed each year on the Charities Commission website.
