Trustees/Directors of SaltMalawi

SaltMalawi has 9 main board directors who are also trustees. They are all committed Christians who share the vision of Julian and Caroline for their work.
They are:

Brian Donner
Brian is our Chair of Trustees. He keeps in close contact with Julian and Caroline providing spiritual cover, maintaining the prayer support data-base and circulating Julian’s key prayer requests to churches and individuals who subscribe to that data-base. He is a retired church pastor, occasional itinerant preacher and, with his wife Linda, makes regular visits to the work in Malawi.
David Eastham
David retired from the freight forwarding and logistics management profession in 2007. He and his wife Ann live in Langley, Warwickshire. David particularly focuses on the support of orphan care. He describes his visit to Malawi in 2007 as profound and challenging but also hugely rewarding.
Phil Hanson
Retired from IBM, Phil is still active in business and academic work as well as some industrial development work for the UN. He is a member of the ministry leadership team in Claverdon Church. Company secretary of Salt Malawi.
Malcolm Franks
Malcolm is a Midlands based business owner, married with 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. He brings experience of business and charities governance in the UK and internationally.
Ian Furlong
Ian is one of the leaders of Saltisford Church, where Julian and Caroline were once members and which has supported them, one way or another, for many years now. Ian brings to the team a quiet presence and a love for pork pies.
Stephen Dorey
Steve is a member of Gloucester Community Church and is married with four sons and three grandchildren (so far). He is a stock photographer and has been to visit Julian and Caroline in Malawi twice. Steve is responsible for distributing the SaltMalawi newsletter.
Phil Clayfield
Phil is a leader at Gloucester Community Church from which Julian and Caroline were sent out to Malawi.

The church continues to support the work in Malawi directly but increasingly seeks to do so through SaltMalawi.
Chris Sansom
Christine Sansom (known as Chris) is a member of the Longcroft Christian Fellowship on Wirral and is a retired GP. She has been involved with Mission for many years, particularly with Vision for China. A close friend of Roger and Helen Jacobs, Chris visited them twice when they were previously in Malawi. She first met Julian and Caroline in 2010. Her other interests when time permits are bird watching, gardening, walking and golf.
Evan Winter
Evan is the Operations Director for Global Connections, responsible for overseeing delivery of their strategic objectives. Previously he was with Agapé, and has worked in Malawi and South Africa, where he had teaching, training and administration responsibilities (not all at the same time!). He is a trustee of Agapé and a deacon in Shirley Baptist Church.
